Roses and family memories fill this garden
Our garden today comes from Martha Veronesi in beautiful Argentina .
My name is Martha Veronesi , and I dwell in the city of Pilar in the province of Buenos Aires , Argentina . I am aroused to share my garden with you . I ’ve been tend to my home garden fanatically for the last 10 old age , ever since I started taking some landscape painting courses that made me want to make changes to my garden .
I come from a family that used to wish horticulture . My grandfather loved dahlias of all types , double or unmarried , in all colors and shapes , so he dedicated fourth dimension to fag the bulbs in wintertime and replant them in bound , and I used to help him . When I married and go with my married man from the city to my novel family in downtown Pilar 25 years ago , there were no plants or flowers in my garden , just territory and a very old aguaribay tree(Schinus areira , Zones 9–10 ) in a corner of the land , so my grandpa move over me some of his falias bulbs as a gift , which I hold dear . Now with the passing years , those bulbs have breed ( normally I invest some to dearest friend ) , and I still have them in my garden . Each summertime when they bloom , I always remember my grandpa .

I love the mix of flower , but roses are definitely my favorite flora . I have 33 rose plants in my garden . Some are English style , like ‘ Pat Austin ’ , and some are Gallic , but mostly all are floribundas , producing big sweetness of roses in the garden beds . In tardy winter , I consecrate hours to cut back them , and I do it with a difference of 10/20 day from one bed garden to another , so as to always have roses blossom somewhere in the garden in the summertime . Sages , asters , and ornamental grasses are my 2nd favorites , mostly because they blossom for long period and have scurvy maintenance .
Before outflow come , my architectural plan is to incorporate some perennial in my garden . Design and extract of plants has started , but it ’s not an easy task for me because of my inexperience with perennials and the little blank space I have in the garden . However , it is a challenge I will take .
‘ Iceberg ’ rose with boxwood ( Buxus , Zones 5–9 ) , decorative Allium cepa ( Allium ) , and yellowish bearded iris diaphragm ( Iris germanica , Zones 4–9 ) .

Water running is so relaxing to hear , so my husband and I built a small pool where some fish live and eat up mosquito nut that are on the surface of the water , helping us keep mosquito under control .
Dahlias give me by my grandfather as a gift .
Iceberg pink wine and a chick feeder with the old aguaribay tree in the scope .

‘ Iceberg ’ roses with grassStipatenuissima(Mexican feather grass , yearly ) .
‘ Jubilee Du Prince de Monaco ’ rose ( sold in the United States under the name ‘ Fire and Ice ’ ) with dismal larkspur ( Consolidaajacis , one-year ) .
More of ‘ Jubilee Du Prince de Monaco ’ rose with bluish larkspur ( Consolidaajacis , annual ) .

White lilies
Daylilies , larkspur , andDietesgrandiflora(Zones 8–11 ) in the back .
