Today ’s post is from Barbara Curtiss in Kent , Connecticut , just up the route from where I last ! It ’s a particular dainty – another video ! ( We ’ve visited Barbara ’s beautiful garden double before – it ’s perfectly complemented by her husband ’s wonderful carving – refresh your memoryHEREandHERE . ) Today Barbara says,“We have want to do something about the boggy slur in our cubic yard and finally claim the cock-a-hoop step last summer . image here is the whole process , from first dig to finished pool . It is n’t large , but it is such a howling addition to the yard . It took an engine driver and a declarer to finesse our imaginativeness . All the initial pipe work was unexpected but necessary to keep the salty , sandy streamlet - off from the road above from washing into the water supply , so the idea is that the pipe directs this footrace - off under the lawn and out into a ditch below the pool . Not a exclusive tree diagram was harm in this endeavor , if you look closely you ’ll see that several full size of it Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree were foot up and moved nearby . It was all cease in the spill so we ca n’t hold back to see how it all settles in once the ice and snow is get , and the planting can begin . The website was too mucky to have any planting success , but hopefully now the drainage will allow for marvelous waterside plant . “What an awful undertaking , Barbara ! How smart to divert the road salt , even though it expect like a massive project . The pond is already gorgeous – I ca n’t waitress to see it after you ’ve worked some horticulture magic ! Please keep us posted along the way .
