It happened ! This past week , after a few years of design , planning and re - scheming , we finally broke terra firma on our succeeding “ Simple House ” at the farm . I have to say that for both of us , it was a fairly incredible mo to see the soil at the top of the James Jerome Hill pushed aside to make way for the next chapter of our life .
Our “ Simple House ” project is in world about simplify our living . It ’s about downsizing to live well without the wasted space of rooms we rarely , if ever apply – and fill them with “ stuff ” that we never demand in the first place .

At right around 1050 square foot , our “ Simple House ” sure does n’t dispose as a “ Tiny House ” by any means – but for us , it is both reasonable and hardheaded . sane because it will allow us to live well with the space we require and utilise every day . Practical , because by constructing on a minuscule scale , we ’re not ware money to build and occupy up unneeded rooms . Most authoritative of all – we wo n’t be spend all of our time in the coming years judge to upkeep all of that unnecessary place – instead , pass that clip doing what we have intercourse .
There is a tremendous amount of freedom in subsist with less . It quite just lets you live with so much more . More exemption to move , garden , spend prison term with family and enjoy liveliness . De-Cluttering On Steroids – Moving Out Of Our House This Week
About 12 months back , in preparing for the eventual downsizing move to the farm , we began the process of eliminate unneeded clutter from our current theatre – calling it our “ One - A - Day / 365 Project . ” Our goal was to off one unnecessary point each day from our firm for one class , either by donating , selling , recycling , or at last resort hotel , cast off away . We also began the practice of never buying anything new unless it replaced something currently in the house . See : 365 Project
Those two actions weretheturning point for us in realizing that eliminate the clutter eliminated stress in our lives . The more we cleared out – the better we felt – and the less we spend buying “ poppycock . ”
So that leads us to this calendar week – and the final stage of downsize . With our current house deal much quicker than foresee – we want to be moved out by the end of May . So these past few weeks – our downsizing travail have been in mellow gear !

Even with all of our clearing efforts over the last year , it is awing for us still to see how much “ stuff ” we had accumulated that simply took up place . Multiple sets of kitchen utensils , genus Pan we had n’t used in years – and still more thing stashed here and there in those “ special ” rooms we had long ago leave about .
But the end is in sight – and at the closing of this week , we will move to a temporary theater until our home at the farm is finished . One mistreat closer to our dream of a dewy-eyed life , in our simple theatre at our piddling farm . And that make it all deserving it !
