Traditional Japanese gardening in the Pacific Northwest
Today friend of the GPOD Cherry Ong is taking us along to theTakata Japanese Garden at the Horticulture Center of the Pacific ( HCP)in Victoria , British Columbia , which she visit in the peak of springtime .
A sensational camelia ( Camellia japonica , Zones 7–9 ) is loaded down with blooms .
The pavilion is finally ended ! It was under mental synthesis when we visited last year .

I love this , which I think is a repurposed taiko drum .
A beautiful traditional Japanese crushed rock garden , raked for purpose in Zen speculation .
An elegant bridgework arches through the garden , framed by the towering trees .

TheBonsaiGarden is to die for ! Even the exhibit table is beautifully craft .
A stunning bonsai tree , cautiously pruned to recreate the form of a ripe Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree in miniature
The stream through the garden is delineate with perennials and trees just tug into spring ontogeny .
