I constitute a week ago by seeds - carrot and arugula - they are not up yet . At the same time , I planted Beta vulgaris jump . They are suffering from those 21 ° F nites out in the garden but are alive . shallot bulbs , kale and fava bean plant are all very cold hardy and doing well . pea got eaten by some thing 4 legged . All were put out one week before this inhuman snap and all are live because of row covering on them . All lettuces and spinach plant were in either my greenhouse or a coldframe and did amercement , but they too were underwrite with 2 layer of row cover .

It seems like from Friday , April 17th the nites will get above freezing for at least a hebdomad . This would be a good time to start coolheaded season crop outside whether by seed or starts . So watch the weather condition and do n’t bury to give water them !
