This year , since we have now moved to the Modern farm , we are depart with a completely clean slating . Something that is both extremely exciting , and a routine intimidating as well . After all , we absolutely love our No - Till Raised Row garden at our old place .
Not only was it leisurely to maintain and deal for , it was also super fertile . And after 11 + time of year of building the soil organically with cover crops , compost and a simple no - public treasury method acting , the soil in the garden was well-fixed than ever to work and maintain .
But with all of that said , we love a good new challenge . And produce an completely fresh garden and garden plan from lucre is candidly something we have been looking fore to ever since we decided to move to the unexampled farm .

The 2022 Vegetable Garden Plan

We will grow our common favorites this year when it comes to heirloom tomato – San Marzano Paste , Brandywine , Mr. Stripey , Black Krim , Celebrity , Mortgage Lifter and Tiger Blush will lead the way . You ca n’t beat San Marzano if you want to make pasta sauce , salsa and pizza sauce .
For our raging peppers , we will be farm Cayenne , Chinese Five Color , Jalapeno , and Red Cherry . On the balmy and sweet-flavored side , we will develop Red , Green and Yellow Bell peppers , and of course , our favorite – Shishito peppers . Shishito pepper are hand down the good appetizer pepper around !
We will plant several unit of ammunition of beans over the form of the year , keep with our Purple ( Burgundy wine ) and Green bush beans . The regal beans are always a big conversation piece . For popcorn , our favorite bite of all , we will be growing our normal Ladyfinger and Dakota Black varieties , along with our new favorite – Glass Gem Corn .

All 3 of the above crops will be planted using our pale yellow bale crate method . The Raised Rows work on perfectly well to acquire cuke , white potato and courgette – in fact , extremely well . They really do make growing a breeze for those without boastful garden spaces , or ones that might have mobility issues . We will be planting shishito peppercorn , tomatillos , black cerise tomatoes , marigolds and herb in our 16 planter buckets .
